Managing Director of Human Resources

Department: 9000 - GENERAL

The Managing Director of Human Resources is centered on learning what our staff’s needs are and addressing them. This position will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy. The position acts as a direct point of contact to our Human Resource company’s team for the agency and employees as needed to ensure a streamlined approach and focuses primarily on staff/volunteer/practicum/intern recruitment, retention, credentialing and staff/volunteer coordination as needed. Administrative tasks are performed in every area of HR including, but not limited to, talent management, compensation, compliance, benefits, employee relations, employee training, onboarding/exits, etc.

Human Resources

This position is the liaison and first point of contact to our outsourced Human Resource company and the services they provide to Imua Family Services. This position facilitates and manages the employee interaction our Human Resource company support teams and ensures that they are a fully responsive agency there to meet the HR functions our agency requires; including day to day human resources administration including record keeping, file maintenance, employee benefits administration, policies and procedures, new employee orientation, processing of new hire and termination paperwork.

The position provides consultation to a team consisting of direct service, support and administrative staff and is responsible for leading the recruiting, screening and interviewing process to hire talented new employees by creating and placing job posts, sort through potential candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, employee relations, conflict mediation, retention, and employee recognition.

The Managing Director of HR will work closely with Program Directors to implement strategies that support the agencies objectives and values. We are seeking someone with HR business partner acumen who will be able to lead cultural change, build internal business partnerships, provide coaching to develop others, and offer creative solutions to agency issues. This position requires someone who has excellent judgment, a high regard for confidentiality, and the skill to quickly gain the trust of employees and maintain that trust.

Credentialing

This position will help to ensure credentialing for the health insurances that Imua accepts are done properly prior to onboarding of a new hire. They will support the forms being filled out properly and that these forms are the most up to date ones for each insurance company and navigate through the credentialing department for each health insurance company to ensure that credentialing is done in a timely manner. They will also ensure that all documents are properly filed for easy access and support audit preparations as needed. As employees exit, this person will also update our agency roster to ensure they can no longer bill under Imua Family Services.

Volunteer/Practicum/Intern/Contractor Coordination

This position will also help to support a smooth volunteer/practicum/intern experience and ensure all background checks, onboarding and forms needed are organized within our files. They will also support to ensure that these individuals have a positive experience and feel support and gratitude from our agency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum experience of 5 years in HR required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Non-Profit work preferred.
  • Professional certification (SHRM, HRCI, etc.) preferred.
